Film screening 'Living in Emergency' - Friday 25th May, 8pm Camden Palace Arts Hotel, 1 Camden Quay, Cork

MSF is delighted to host the first Cork screening of Living in Emergency.

This documentary presents the unglamorous, seldom seen side of aid workas four MSF doctors struggle to provide emergency medical care in the war zones of Liberia and Congo.

MSF Ireland staff will be available afterwards to answer questions and discuss both the film and MSF's ongoing work internationally.

All are welcome to attend the MSF Information Evening in Cork.

Two of our volunteers, anaesthetist Dr. Mark Campbell and laboratory sceintist Barrie Rooney will talk about their recent experiences on mission with MSF in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and in central Africa respectively.

A photo exhibition will also be on display.

"Working in a War Zone" NUI Galway Friend of MSF Launch - 16th November, 7.30pm, Clinical Science Institute, Galway

Galway native Dr. John Morris recently returned from Chad and Jane-Ann McKenna, Head of MSF Ireland will talk about their experiences in the field with MSF.

 


 

DCU Nursing Careers Fair - 16th November, 2-5pm, Dublin

Come along to our stand on the ground floor of the Nursing School and talk to us about working with MSF as a nurse.  See how we do rapid screeening for malnutrition and sample some ready-to-eat-therapeutic food!

Dr. John Morris, recently returned from working with MSF in Chad shared his experiences with students at the University of Limerick.

European Year of Volunteering Roadshow - 25th August, 11am-4pm, EC House, Dawson Street, Dublin.
