Fundraising as a school

There are lots of ways that your school can get involved with Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) by learning about our work and raising vital funds.

Without fundraisers like you we wouldn't be able to deliver medical care where it's needed most.

Fundraising ideas for schools

  • Fun runs
  • Bake-off competition
  • Talent show
  • Fancy dress day
  • Film night
  • Challenge yourself!

These are just some of the things that your school can do to raise vital funds and help our teams provide medical aid around the world.

Fundraising as a school: getting started

Step 1: Get in touch

Whether you’re thinking of organising a sponsored silence, a games night or something else, our fundraising team would love to hear what you’re planning and help to support you. Get in touch here.

Step 2: Stay safe

If you are under 18 and holding a fundraising event, you should always ask a parent, carer or teacher to help you with your fundraising to make sure you are safe. There are also some activities that have an age restriction.

These include:

  • street and house-to-house collections
  • raffles
  • events involving alcohol

Step 3: Take a look at our resources

We would love to send you some materials to help with your fundraising. We also have some great online resources to support with raising awareness about our work. Follow the links below.
