Herve is a medical doctor in the Doro hospital, originally from Central African Republic he worked with MSF there as national staff for four years before becoming a travelling expat. Herve has worked with various ministry of healths in various countries so working with MSF is great as he can work in better conditions with better resources, you have access to staff, the drugs and the logistics.

Among those referred to our specialised mental health services, for children between the ages of 1-18, our patients present with changes in behaviour such as aggressiveness or withdrawal, stopping eating, nightmares, bed-wetting, panic and anxiety, developmental regression, as well as self-harm, suicidal ideation and suicide attempts.

Zakky has worked with MSF since 2012, originally from Blue Nile State he and his family have lived in Doro camp for almost six years. Fighting pushed Zakky and his family away from their home and into South Sudan, the attacks were terrible with one particularly bad one using bombs. Zakky is now a logistics assistant in the Doro camp.

Shanti, 22, is the youngest in her team of health educators who work tirelessly in the Jahangirpuri community- walking around looking for groups of men, women and children to educate them about sexual and domestic violence, brainstorming and devising new and innovative methods to spread awareness, knocking door to door to make sure everyone is aware of the services MSF's Umeed Ki Kiran Clinic* provides, encouraging victims of domestic and sexual violence to seek medical care, trying hard to make the community unlearn the shame and taboo associated with sexual violence and teaching them to care for their physical and mental health on priority. She is a powerhouse, exactly opposite of what her name "Shanti" (peace in Hindi) means. She loves to chat and that only helps her do her job better!
