What's happening in Iran?
Iran hosts one of the largest refugee populations in the world, the majority of whom come from neighbouring Afghanistan.
Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has been working in Iran since 1990 and currently provides free healthcare to refugees and other excluded and marginalised groups, including people who use drugs, sex workers, and unhoused people.
Our teams provide general healthcare, sexual and reproductive healthcare, support to victims of sexual violence, and offer treatment for diseases like HIV, tuberculosis, and hepatitis C.
